Greetings from the Board of Directors

  • 2016 was a transformative year for Mary’s Place by the Sea. Our organization combined with A Time for ME, moved into an extraordinary new home and provided services for 361 women despite being open for only seven months.

We’ve increased the size of the Board of Trustees to ensure strong governance and welcomed wonderful new members to our dedicated team of staff and volunteers. It has been quite an adjustment moving in to this state-of-the-art, expanded facility and everyone has adapted like true professionals.

Now, as we turn our attention to 2017, we will continue to strengthen the organization by exploring every opportunity to expand programs and services to the many amazing guests that walk through our front door.  Our strategic planning process will evaluate the best approach to ensure adequate resources for our existing services while concurrently exploring the best way to provide additional services, all at no charge to our guests.

On behalf of my colleagues on the Board, I want to express my gratitude to our staff, volunteers, donors and supporters of Mary’s Place by the Sea. Most importantly, I want to also acknowledge the strength of our guests. We are committed to providing the resources to ensure that Mary's Place will continue to be a place for respite and hope for all women who walk through our doors.
