In this season of LOVE, our hearts are filled with love for our guests and those who allow our mission to grow through their consistent dedication. We are repeatedly humbled by the opportunity to touch the lives of so many women with cancer.
According to the American Cancer Society, 878,980 women will be diagnosed with cancer this year. While medical treatments can heal a person physically, we believe that true healing occurs when the mind, body, and soul are made well. At Mary’s Place by the Sea, many of
our guests experience deep emotional healing, which is a perfect and necessary complement to their medical program. Most of all, they are loved.
It is with your continued support that our mission can strengthen and grow, year after year. In 2017, your donations allowed us to meet the needs of 1,037 women with cancer who came through our doors. There is still much work to be done, and many more women to serve. If
you are able to give in 2018, please consider making an annual gift in the spirit of love. For more information on annual giving, please contact Felicia Levine, Director of Development, at
We are blessed by you and your belief in our mission.
With love and gratitude,
Michele Gannon and Maria McKeon
“The last year has been profoundly difficult for my family and I. I spent so much time trying to convince the world that I could handle anything and everything with grace and elegance, that I forgot to take care of myself. Between my family, work, and everyday
survival, somewhere I lost myself in this battle. My stay at Mary’s Place by the Sea changed my life. I so deeply needed emotional relief to find myself again. Thank you for giving me that.”
Mary’s Place by the Sea is a respite home for women who are receiving treatment for cancer. We provide services that complement their medical treatment, including oncology massage, nutrition education, individual counseling, Reiki, guided meditation and yoga.
