A Season of Milestones
As we take the time to reflect on 2019, our hearts are filled with immense gratitude.

This year, we reached two special milestones: 10 years of service and 10,000 women with cancer served by our mission. Both of these milestones have been made possible by your ever-present support.

Each day, our guests receive restorative services, nutritious meals, and are surrounded by a new support community when they visit our home, thanks to the gift of your generosity. We are now able to serve more women than ever before, because of your kindness and love.

Recently, a guest of ours described her experience at Mary’s Place this way:

“Everyone is treated with kindness and respect.  A generosity of spirit prevails. Guests can and do interact with each other. Sharing our lives is supportive and often leads to friendships. I left as a better, more compassionate person than I had been before.”

Thank you for your generosity of spirit. We are thinking of each one of you with love and wishing you Happy Holidays and a Joyful New Year.

All of our love,
Michele and Maria

Let's take a look back on our past 10 years with Mary's Place by the Sea...
Mary’s Place by the Sea began in June of 2009. Rob and April Kaprelian, owners of 7 Ocean Avenue, opened their Bed & Breakfast to us and we launched our mission. “Let’s Raise the Roof“
We continued to grow our wings and build our Mary’s Place community. Our supporters took a chance on us, and with their help we looked for opportunities to grow
We cut the ribbon and opened the doors to our home at 15 Broadway. “Let’s Open the Doors”
We held our First Annual Walk-A-Thon – an event that is still near and dear to us today, seven years later! “Let’s Walk Together”
2013 was a year when we realized we were building a community and there was no turning back; a community that needed us as much as we needed them. We were gifted moments that helped shape our mission to what it is today
Our Board of Trustees advised us that it was time to expand. We broke ground on our new home
Bobby Bandiera and Jon Bon Jovi hosted a concert “And Even More Hope” and our donors put their faith, hope and love into our mission as we laid the groundwork for our future growth
With the love and support of our Mary’s Place community, our dreams became a reality as we opened the doors to our new home at 22 MainAvenue in Ocean Grove
We celebrated one year in our new home and service to over 1,000 women in our new location
Sarah McLachlan threw a benefit concert for our guests at the Paramount Theatre
Today we are celebrating ten years and service to ten thousand women with cancer
