Dear Friends of Mary's Place by the Sea,
A season of HOPE is upon us at Mary's Place. Last week, we reopened our home to guests for in-person day retreats. Our team has worked tirelessly to establish proper protocols to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests. We laid the groundwork and threw open the doors, hoping and trusting that our guests would
take a leap of faith and entrust us with their care once again. We have sensed the hopefulness in each one of our guests as they have entered our home, many after over a year of isolation.
The resounding sentiment from our guests, volunteers and practitioners has been: "It's so wonderful to be back at Mary's Place!" It truly is. It is wonderful to smell the plant-based meals cooking in the kitchen, to feel the cool ocean breeze from our porches, to hear the laughter from the dining room
table and to witness the mission of Mary's Place at work here on a daily basis.
One of our guests described her experience this way:
"To everyone at Mary's Place, I am still flying high and excited about yesterday's visit. I truly enjoyed every minute with all of you. Everyone had so much to offer with kindness, wisdom, and love. I felt like I was visiting some special friends in their home."
Meanwhile, our thriving Virtual Services Program continues for all who are unable to visit in-person, serving 750 women each month. We are grateful to all of our practitioners and volunteers, in-person and virtual,
helping our mission to thrive.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all who have continued to support our mission and our guests to make all of the above possible!
