    • Thank you for being the lifeline of Mary’s Place."

  • It is hard to believe that the month of March is already upon us! It has been a busy start to the year at Mary’s Place. In addition to filling our home with guests each day, over the past two months Mary’s Place has welcomed both survivors and caregivers, on two separate occasions, to experience the serenity and restoration of a stay at Mary’s Place. We believe that welcoming these new groups for a weekend each year is a way for us to impact the lives of more women living in quiet desperation. The feedback of these women has been outstanding.

As spring approaches, we look forward to what is one of our favorite fundraising events of the year - the Mary’s Place Walk - to reconnect with the many women and men who have become a part of our mission over the past nine years. We hope that you will join us on May 19th for this very special event.

As both a house volunteer and the Chair of the Board of Trustees, I have the privilege of experiencing Mary’s Place from two very unique perspectives.  From my seat on the board, I am able to understand the way that this community has financially committed to this mission, with families and individuals giving their hard earned dollars to the guests of Mary’s Place. During my volunteer hours, I am able to witness first-hand the very real difference those dollars are making in the lives of women with cancer. Mary’s Place becomes their lifeline.

Mary’s Place by the Sea never ceases to amaze me. We have now welcomed over 8,000 women with cancer since our founding, and we truly believe the sky is the limit. On behalf of the team at Mary’s Place by the Sea, and my colleagues on the Board, we thank you for the profound impact you are enabling us to make in the lives of the women we serve. Thank you for being the lifeline of Mary’s Place.
