    • Reflecting on the words of Fred Rogers whom I greatly admire, “Often when you think you’re at the end of something, you are at the beginning of something else.”  “I know that I still have a lot to do to help women with cancer. I feel humbled by what has already been accomplished by Michele, Maria and their team.  I know that my work at Mary’s Place is a perfect fit and a wonderful opportunity for my new beginning, and for that I feel grateful”.

  • A Patty O’Neill brings to Mary’s Place by the Sea a diverse background from the medical, business, and non-profit sectors.  With over 30 years of professional experience, she has worked in a managerial capacity in a variety of areas including procurement, grants administration, and management of a medical practice.   As president of the Monmouth County Medical Society Alliance she took charge of event planning, and her fundraising efforts proved beneficial to many local charities.  She simultaneously joined the operating committee of A Time for ME, a local non-profit organization whose mission was to provide respites for women with cancer, and perfectly aligned with Mary’s Place.   She recently completed twenty year tenure on their executive board, the past thirteen in the role of executive director.  She considers having a compassion for others, a strong work ethic with fine attention to details, and the ability to multi-task her strongest attributes.  All of these past experiences have perfectly positioned her to serve as a board member of Mary’s Place by the Sea.   She lives in Wall, NJ with her husband and best friend, Dr. Jay O’Neill, and their Newfoundland dog, James.
