Susan Padovano, Counselor

    • "Mary's Place by the Sea is a safe place for women to gather, to connect and to share their authentic selves. I find that the women I meet in counseling sessions have been broken open by their diagnosis and are ready to make significant changes in their lives. The cancer has become an invitation to live differently, both physically and emotionally. Through individual therapy sessions and group therapy sessions, women can begin to heal past trauma and pain and learn strategies and tools to live an emotionally healthy life."
  • Susan Padovano, MSW, LSW joined Mary’s Place in March of 2016.  Susan is a graduate of Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and a master’s degree in social work.  Susan’s experience in the mental health field has been working with clients diagnosed with severe mental illness.

Susan meets with many local guests on a weekly basis for individual counseling.  She created a weekly support group that is available for local women to attend.  Susan also created a resiliency group that guests commit to for 8 weeks.  This group provides  tools and strategies women need to navigate their emotional health after their diagnosis and treatment.
