Driving Hope Forward: Celebrating Our 6th Annual Swing for the Soul Golf Outing

Our 6th Annual Swing for the Soul Golf Outing was nothing short of a hole in one! With beautiful weather, a sold out course of golfers, and an outpouring of generosity from our sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, the day was truly unforgettable.
The day began with warm welcomes as golfers arrived at Deal Golf and Country Club, checked in, caught up with colleagues and friends, and met up with their foursomes. Before heading out to the course, many tried their luck in the putting contest or spent time at the driving range before gathering for a delicious lunch and the official kickoff of the day’s festivities. With blue skies overhead, golfers set off for 18 holes, enjoying friendly competition, on course contests, and the challenge of playing one of the area’s most beautiful courses.
As the golf portion of the day came to a close, everyone returned to the clubhouse for cocktails, dinner, and the announcement of our silent auction and door prize winners. But the most memorable moment of the evening came when former guest Laura shared her experience at Mary’s Place by the Sea. Her heartfelt words were a powerful reminder of the impact of our mission and the lives that are touched because of the generosity of this incredible community.
This day would not have been possible without the incredible generosity, dedication, and commitment of the people who believe in the mission of Mary’s Place by the Sea.
A special thank you goes to our Event Chairs, Dr. Alison Ankiewicz and Tom Ankiewicz, whose leadership and passion for our mission helped bring this meaningful day to life. Their commitment to Swing for the Soul helped create an event that brought our community together in support of women with cancer.
Thanks to the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, donors, and supporters, we raised more than $160,000 to help ensure women with cancer continue to experience respite, connection, and healing at Mary’s Place by the Sea at no cost.
We are deeply grateful to our Presenting Sponsor, the Chris Tubby Deborah Wilson Charitable Giving Fund, and to every Halfway House, Driving Range, Putting Green, Cocktail, Golf Cart, and Tee Sponsor who helped make this event possible.
We also thank the families, foundations, and local businesses who have stood beside Mary’s Place since the beginning, and every golfer who spent their day with us in support of a mission that means so much to our community.
Because of you, women with cancer have a place where they can step away from the demands of daily life, receive compassionate care, and focus on their own healing through the experiences offered at Mary’s Place by the Sea.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on the course for the 7th Annual Swing for the Soul Golf Outing in June 2027.
