Nourishing Your Body After a Cancer Diagnosis w/ Dr. Eckert

Kathryn Eckert, DO, is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist and board-certified general surgeon, specializing in the comprehensive, multidisciplinary, treatment of benign and malignant breast conditions. She attended the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school, then completed a residency in general surgery at the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine and Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She went on to complete a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and currently practices as a breast surgical oncologist at Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. She is particularly interested in the use of advanced technology in breast cancer treatment, including single port robotic assisted mastectomy, intra-operative ultrasound, and cryoablation. She is passionate about personalizing breast care for every patient.  Dr. Eckert is an active member of the professional community, holding a committee position with the American Society of Breast Surgeons, in addition to memberships in the Society of Surgical Oncology and the American College of Surgeons.
