Our New Home
MARY'S PLACE BY THE SEA OPENED THE DOORS TO ITS NEW HOME IN JUNE, 2016.
When Mary's Place by the Sea opened it's doors at 7 Ocean Avenue in Ocean Grove, two rooms were rented in a lovely B & B. During the course of one year, word had spread and more women with cancer wanted to stay than the accommodations would allow. The next year, Mary's Place moved to 15 Broadway, a lovely, four-bedroom home which needed minor renovations to accommodate up to four women overnight. After five years of welcoming women through these doors and many more on waiting lists, the decision to build a new home was an easy one. The demand for a respite was high as we learned about more and more women who were facing this life-altering disease.
In our new home, Mary's Place can say yes to more women with cancer...yes to more rest and privacy with each guest having their own room with a private bath... yes to a peaceful setting with porches looking out to the ocean... yes to an elevator allowing our guests to reach their rooms with ease... yes to having a hands-on education about nutrition while dealing with cancer... yes to more of the services we already provide including oncology massage, individual mental health counseling, nutrition education, reiki, meditation, reflexology, journaling and more. It is because of the women we serve, we are humbled to say yes.
Mary's Place by the Sea opened the doors to its new home in June, 2016. From June 2016 - May 2017, we welcomed 908 women with cancer through our new doors.
