Development and Events Coordinator

As the Events and Development Coordinator at Mary’s Place by the Sea, Shawna helps bring the organization’s mission to life in a very real way. She oversees the planning of events, works closely with sponsors and community partners, and creates marketing materials that invite people in and makes them want to be part of something meaningful.

Her background spans marketing, social media, and event coordination, with experience in both nonprofit and brand-focused roles. Over the years, she’s managed campaigns, built relationships, and helped grow engagement by focusing on what actually resonates with people. She has a natural ability to keep things organized while still making them feel personal and impactful.

What really drives Shawna is her passion for helping others. She cares deeply about creating spaces where people feel supported, especially when it comes to self care and mental health. That’s a big part of why her work at Mary’s Place means so much to her. She’s committed to making sure every event, every interaction, and every touchpoint reflects the heart of the mission and the women it serves

The first step in becoming a guest is to complete our reservation inquiry. You will also have the opportunity to indicate which services you are interested in. Once we have received your inquiry, a member of our team will contact you to schedule your retreat. Reservations are scheduled in the order we receive inquiries.

RESERVATION INQUIRY

We welcome guests for a maximum of two overnight retreats (one per year) while in guidelines.  Day retreats are limited to three per year while in guidelines.
