  • Dr. Jones holds a Doctorate of Education from the Curry School of Education (University of Virginia), a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Teachers College (Columbia University), and a Bachelors degree in Religion from Princeton University.  His doctoral dissertation examines the perceptions of teachers, administrators, and board members regarding the outcomes of accreditation.  Not surprisingly, Chuck has also been a member of and led numerous visiting teams for reaccrediting schools governed by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS).  He is a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and has attended countless educational leadership and counseling workshops, holds a New Jersey School Administrator certificate of eligibility and a Division Superintendent License in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and served in various alumni leadership roles at his alma maters.  Chuck has been involved in many non-profits over the years, currently serving as President of both the Rumson (NJ) Board of Education and of the Two River Little League.  He is also a new trustee at Mary's Place by the Sea.  He formerly sat on the Monmouth County Historical Association board and was a founding trustee of Trinity Hall.  He is also the author of an as yet unpublished book for "tweens" titled A Cotton Candy Kid.

Among the accolades he has received in his life, Chuck is honored by having the faculty award at Forsyth Country Day School named for him.  The Jones Faculty Award is given annually to the faculty member who has exhibited – through love, unending generosity, and commitment to others – the highest ideals of the teaching profession.  In 2019, Chuck was grudgingly the honoree at MCHA's 44th Garden Party (in 2019) for his "remarkable commitment and service to MCHA."
