Susan was a guest at Mary’s Place By the Sea in 2017. She fell in love with this beautiful mission and became a volunteer. She then became an overnight manager, moved to the House Manager position, and in 2024 decided to retire to spend more time with her family. However, Susan couldn’t imagine not being a part of this wonderful organization and now stays as overnight manager with our amazing and courageous guests two nights a week. Caring for people is what she does best by lending a listening ear and having an empathic heart. During her stay as a guest, Susan experienced SoulCollage®, an expressive arts practice done individually or in community. The method develops creativity and intuition, encourages self-discovery, and provides personal guidance. She was determined to become a certified SoulCollage® Facilitator and share this wonderful experience with others. Her dream came true in 2023 and Susan now offers this wonderful to our guests.
